Japanese architect Hajime Narukawa invented and equal-area type world map in 1999. This map keeps the sizes of the continents and oceans while reducing the distortions found on most world maps. This link will take you to the Narukawa lab where they offer a free download of the map (.ai or .pdf).

Our youngest is very protective of her Dad.  I swear I'm not slapping him about for sassing me.

In 2011 I made a portrait of my eldest daughter to teach her about color theory.  Today I made a companion portrait for my youngest daughter Robin who is now about the same age.  Because, Mom has no favorites.
