Nothing says "I love you" like murdering townies.

Wow!  So that happened.  I've never told a man I loved him and had him respond, "Great!  Now I'm gonna do some things you won't like."  Though it somehow sounded romantic coming out of Ian Somerhalder's face.  Speaking of faces, Nina Dobrev really sold that selective listening excitement on her end of that phone call.   It was so nice to see Elena proactively barricading a door and sticking up for herself.   

My husband pointed out that Tyler's plan for saving his friends from their feeling circle of doom was just to run into the library and stand there with one eyebrow up.  In Tyler's defense he was probably still pretty drunk on his dead mother's booze.

Well, I must say after that mid-season opener I am still pretty delighted by this show.

Well, only about three hours before I start actively ignoring my family and responsibilities in favor of watching some vampires scamper on my T.V.   I have "shushed" my very own husband in the midst of a very tender "I love you" so I could hear what Caroline said to Bonnie.  It's a sickness, I know.  Rather than get help I am going on a snack run for the mid-season premiere.  I hope you guys all have tons of fun tonight watching the show. 

I feel like I should probably attain some life goals before the spin-off  series has a chance to devour the remainder of my free time.
